Naga Chaitanya’s latest film, Thandel, which hit theatres on February 7th, has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from audiences. The film is performing exceptionally well at the box office and shows no signs of slowing down.

During a recent success meet celebrating Thandel’s impressive run, director Chandoo Mondeti shared an exciting revelation. He expressed his interest in making a period drama with Naga Chaitanya, centred around the life of the legendary Telugu poet and scholar, Tenali Ramakrishna.

This announcement has sparked immense excitement among fans and cinephiles. If the project materializes, it will mark Naga Chaitanya’s debut in the historical genre. The yet-to-be-titled film would also be the fourth collaboration between the actor and Chandoo Mondeti, following Premam, Savyasachi, and the newly released Thandel.

For those unfamiliar with Tenali Ramakrishna, he was a celebrated poet, scholar, and advisor in the court of King Krishna Devaraya. Renowned for his sharp wit and humour, Tenali Ramakrishna’s tales continue to resonate with audiences even in the modern era. Although Chandoo Mondeti has expressed his enthusiasm for this historical project, it is important to note that discussions are still in progress, and no official confirmation has been made yet.
